70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre. This wine is made by the Perrin family from the young vines (up to 15 years) at Château de Beaucastel.

Dark, rich, plummy smell. Powerful, and darkly fruity in the mouth. Too fruit-led and squeakily clean for me - I like a bit of countryside in my Châteauneuf.
