Made for Tesco by Casella Wines, from >85% Semillon. 146 grams/litre residual sugar.

Picked 15th May 2005 once noble rot has formed on selected vineyards of the Carramar Estate. Grapes were soft-pressed to minimise maceration and then cool fermented in stainless steel to retain aromatics. A proportion of the wine was fermented and matured in French oak to add complexity and texture.

Light, pale yellow. Extremely pretty nose, floral and also oily. Floral but silky sweet in the mouth. Simple sugar and some dried apricot - not particularly complex. 10%
