Hermitage has rightly been crowned the 'King of the Rhone' It is the most famous northern Rhone appellation of all, producing extremely limited quantities of seriously long lived reds. The extraordinary hill of Hermitage dominates the small town of Tain l'Hermitage and is a south-facing bank of granite, thinly covered with extremely varied and well charted soil types.
Minty fresh oak on the nose. Fairly pale and has something Pinot-like about its aroma. Oaky, full and ripe. Good, and I’d love to watch it evolve. Delicious acidity, fragrant oak and ripe fruit. 13%
