Made for Tesco by Cantine Ascheri Giacomo SAS. Aged 12 months in stainless steel and 24 months in Slovenian oak of different sizes (18-25hl) - 85% old, 15% new. Aged at least nine months in bottle. The Ascheri cellars were located in La Morra, Piedmont. Ascheri has chosen a natural approach in the production of the wines, with a moderate use of technology and use of old traditional oak barrels for ageing. Typical pale brick colour. Soothing, slightly caramelised nose. Lovely. Plenty of chalky tannins but delicious juicy acidity. Needs meat. 14% (435 stores) 27/06/08
