Casablanca Valley

Made for Tesco by Viña Ventisquero. 2006 was a relatively cold year, with low temperatures that gave a long and slowly ripening season that gave us full fruit expression in the nose and well structured palate with nice natural balance acidity. 15% soft French oak, battonage once per week during 6 months.

Founded in 1998 by Gonzalo Vial, owner of Chile's leading fresh food producer, Agrosuper, the winery is one of the most modern in Chile yet manages to retain a “boutique” and innovative outlook. Despite the size of the vineyard and enterprise, Vina Ventisquero uses detailed production methods, including hand harvesting and environmentally sensitive land management practices.
Interesting, creamy, appealing nose. Like very ripe apricots. Typical, new world Chardonnay taste. Some unwanted warmth leaving a bitter finish. 13.5%
