Bizarre label. Sweetly fruity nose, rather than fragrantly Pinot. Sweet, fruity taste which hasn't yet evolved.

Isn't the label meant to represent the New Zealand rugby Haka. Bizarre in a good way.

I agree regarding the wine. Didn't quite seem ready.

Have you been able to try the M&S Wild Earth Pinot Noir 2006 which seems to have won a clutch of awards?

No, they only showed the Saddleback PN (£14.99) and Te Kahu Cab/Merlot(£17) at their recent tasting.

The Saddleback is delicious, but £15 is quite a lot. I'm particularly obsessed with wines that are fragrant, and this wasn't. I need my Pinots to be fragrant. Maybe just having a resting period and about to be beautiful again. Hope so.
