Quite a chalky smell - nice. Very good flavour. There's "nil" residual sugar. It is bone dry, but there's enough fruit. Vibrant and long with some texture. Goes on and on. Good.

Hmmmmmmmmmm

I've had 3 of these.

Typical Fournier ( He also supplies Thresher with their Regional Classic )

The 1st was tasteless. The 2nd was as you describe and the third had a pungent vedgetal flavour.

I guess the problem is that, this is a mass produced cuvee with grapes coming from all around Sancerre. Not all the vines will be planted in chalk rich soil, so, some bottles even in the same vintage will be better than others.

Tesco have also upped the standard price to £12.

For that price...I would want Pascal Jolivet to hand deliver his best cuvee.

Did you think this was better than the Bourgeois Jardin wine at Waitrose. I really love that and think it's great value at £6.99
