Ripasso wine is normal Valpolicella which has been passed through the skins of Amarone wines, taking on some of the richer, figgy flavours. Sweet, baked fig smell. Very nicely fragrant. Very good flavour indeed. Violet, liquorice. Alcohol is warm, but that's expected.
