Attractive minty, herbal smell. Good, herbal taste. Light but interesting in a sea of dreary wines.

Then tasted again:

Very interesting, minty, herbal smell. Interesting lavendar scented taste. Floral and long lasting. Great with food, I imagine.

I picked this up sometime last year when it was reduced to £4.99, not sure what happened to it, think it made its way into a gift bag at Christmas.

I will give it another go, when on offer of course :P

Now on offer at £4.99, finished a bottle last night.

Smooth, some leather, spice, I don’t think this has seen any new oak, probably older barrels, it hasn’t got that brittle, wet wood background you sometimes find in the lower cost reds, could be wrong though, perhaps simply very well made. I agree on the mint, maybe a touch medicinal too. Very good for a fiver.
