Touch of peanut and peapod on the nose. Rough tannins for Pinot. Nicely savoury with a peanut finish. It may be necessary to ignore the peanut note because it's something very specific that I can detect and I have never met anyone else that can detect it to quite the extent that I can.

I also picked it up on a Sauvignon de St Bris, so it must be local to the north of burgundy. Actually, the worst was on a reserva tempranillo - can't remember if it was rioja or ribera. In that context it was strong but not unpleasant.

Let's just say I'm "special".

Have a good weekend, despite the rain.

Decanted for an hour, good nose, some mushroom and blossom. Cherry taste, almost Gamay like, tight, lean, acidic, disappointing.

Second night was an improvement but the fruit still came across as under-ripe. Young, needs a couple of years to soften.
