Made for Tesco by Family Skalli. The syrah grapes for this St Joseph are grown in granitic soil on the right banks of the Rhône river, located between Côte Rôtie and Saint Peray. The result is a deep red wine, with powerful flavours but soft tannins. Serve with grilled meats, game and strong cheeses.

Very reluctant nose. Some cherry, perhaps. Lovely balance in the mouth. Fresh acidity and smooth tannins. Needs more time. 13%

Was planning to, then did a search and saw your note, asked the question, still planned to, didnt get around to it, went out, unplanned get-together, took rest of '08 OV Malbec, got wet, ate too many burgers, have upset tummy today, plus a small headache, may open over the weekend, may not.

Poor you. I'd have a go at it in the next 6 months or so. It's only TF after all.
