100% Chardonnay. The grapes are hand and mechanically harvested from vineyards set around a plateau with south-south east oriented slopes of chalky soil. The average vine age is around 35 years. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in temperature controlled stainless steel vats (constant temperature of 16 to 18°C) and the wine undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation. The wine is matured with its lees in stainless steel vats for 6 months then bottled in traditional Burgundy bottles. Winemaker ~ Gregoire Pissot.
Buttery, ripe nose. Seems rather warm and unlovely. First wine of the tasting.
