75% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Muscat, Denominación de Origen Valencia. This unusual blend is made by Pablo Ossorio at Bodegas Murviedro (Valencian Winemaker of the Year 2008). The wine is made in a state of the art winery with the Muscat proportion fermented by carbonic maceration. The Sauvignon Blanc is cold macerated followed by fermentation at 14°C. IWSC 2009 - Bronze.
Acid green label. Floral, muscatty smell. Very light in the mouth. Floral and most like Torrontes. The alcohol, despite being quoted as 12% seems warmish - possibly because the wine is so light.
