Very, very ripe fruit, like dried apricots. Perfectly fine, but rather dull. It's just another five pound NW Chardonnay.

I had the Otra Vida Malbec '06 over the weekend, very nice indeed for the price, rich and plumy, some interesting herb flavours.

Rather than the aspirational message those wine-naming gurus no doubt intended, "otra vida" in Spanish means "death", in common parlance. :)

Maybe they are referring to the many brave grapes who gave their lives for the cause. :)
