2008 vintage, 13%

This is the palest beigy pink. Just a wonderful colour. We're having it with all sorts of delicious food from the Stroud Farmers Market. Olives stuffed with garlic (am staying in tonight), beautiful salami, duck liver mousse (actually, that's from Williams Kitchen), salad with grilled red peppers, seedy bread, gouda with cumin, running goats cheese, and the rest. I turned the fridge up last night, because it needed it, and so this is really freezing cold.

On Easter Saturday, when the rain is wellying it down, it's hard to imagine blistering hot provencal weather, but this would be perfect in the summer. It has only the lightest smell - will report back if it improves with temperature. It's steely, dry, acidic and fresh. About as far from Spanish rose as you can get. I might have put it in the Loire. I really like it.

Unsure of the price, as a sample. Will investigate.

It all sounds rather wonderful, and so does your supper.

You R treating your folks to a very nice time this evening - Not so bad is it !

Most of my lot here on Monday. They can make a sizeable dent in my MSB stocks, whilst I sneek out a b1er to go with roast chick and all the trim.

Enjoy your evening, look after your folks.
