Last hour at the office for me, then off down the pub for a swift pint before home.

I'm looking forward to opening a red when I get home, something I've wanted to try for quite a while and noticed Morrisons had it on offer this week- Cono Sur Twenty Barrels Pinot Noir 2013, reduced to £14.

Have a peaceful Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas from the respectable side of the Severn.

The Sancerre from Lidl wasn't worth the £3.99. The Quincy @ £8.99 with a 90 rating is warm alcohol with underlying blackcurrant. 82 for me but perhaps in ya face white spirit is much sought after by those who rate Lidl wines.

The 2016 Brancott Estate basic MSB is very very good. Watery pale but well balanced acid and a lovely green pepper flavour. Old school Marlborough.

Merry Christmas gang. Hope you all enjoy yourselves and have a great day

GK, I've finally out-GK'd you ! :D I too found the 20 Barrels at my local Morrisons being cleared out for £9.99. It's a nice drop, very deep and quite strong for a Pinot but very enjoyable thanks to a nice acidic streak.

Ha! Nice one Shezza, good find.

I liked it, I was expecting lots of sweet, rich fruit but it was actually quite refined.
