So, in fact, I quite liked the above Wolf Blass wines. I thought they were a fair stab at Australia for people who don’t want extremes. They were largely recognisable and, if you can buy them while they’re on offer, then they’re very reasonable. I think £8.99 is on the steep side, but £8.99 is last year’s £7.99.
However, I found the chardonnay dire. It smelt of very little, except for sulphur and had nastily chewy oak, very little fruit and was, I’m sorry, watery, dull and pointless.
Agreed, Same as for the cab, or worse, because you expect at least something from Oz cabernet sauvignon
However I think Yellow label has gone down hill for Cab. Factory wine. I was given one last year as a pressie for a favour to a neighbour , the guy probably paid full retail, feel sorry for him. Don't remember the vintage, but do remember that I thought the wine fairly pointless, not even worth carrying home in a shopping bag. Bloody dull, and puckering to add insult to injury.
Perhaps it was cooked in the shop window

No, best avoided.
