Smoked salmon, poached eggs and crusty bread for us, washed down with bucks fizz. Currently sipping a cool pint of Ruddle's County, watching the dinner and enjoying the peace and quiet before the family arrive.

2 LARGE free-range pork chops - my own world-famous leek & mushroom compote (with a teeeeeeny hint of garlic) - rosemaried 'new' potatoes.

Oh! and half a bottle of Blanc de Noir.
