Give this to me blind and I wouldn't have a clue what it is. Initially I would guess argie malbec without the depth/black bramble fruit due violet and cherry notes of this wine
Even after letting it breathe there is nothing that makes me think cab sauv. My experience with CS is either left bank bordeaux or Oz & Chile where I'm used to notes of cassis or mint. I get neither with this wine, perhaps that's common for Napa cab? It's not a region I tend to steer towards having found previous tastings a little too sweet for my preference.
And while this isn't too sweet, cherry is the dominant fruit for me here which steers me away from thinking of cab
It's quite drinkable, not too complex, youthful and fruity. A bit of tannic grip to imply it could mature a little. I think many people would enjoy this. It's not quite my preference but I tend to steer clear of reds as youthful as this - that said I've drunk half a bottle tryiing to decide what to write about it
(Bottled in Wiltshire though!)
