Rich,
Ok, Ok - you put that up so you could find a way to show us your appreciation of the style
TBH - from Giesen, The Brothers cuvee' is the only one that is likely to please many of us.
INMHO - The 2013 vintage will be a more pleasurable MSB wine, and unlikely to be that one !
Having had a trawl through on Friday, - because my sub £10 MSB stocks are down to zero, I'd recommend the Vavasour 2013 as being capable of delivering something of the style. I wouldn't mind a rant from our resident guru just now, on that comment.
I notice that Majestic have no stocks of the reserve wines on the black Villa Maria label.
Clifford Bay 2013 got the sub £20 Decanter award, yet VAV '13 got a silver in the QPR band.
So . . . that's my two cents.
BTW, pulled a single Vav'10 out of my wine cooler on Wednesday, and it was still impressive.
I also notice that Majestic have now decided that the Cloudy Bay RRP was a whopping £27.50 in order to get their computer programme to run a 33.3% offer. Truly absurd, and insulting to their mature and loyal customers - Come on Majestic, Duh.
Their new marketing manager (is thought to have) cut his teeth moving solar panels in Norway.
