Too flinty on day one. Lovely goosegogs and chalk/nettles/acorn on day two.

Bit too sharp to be a really great Sancerre but so nice to taste some chalky acorn again. I had almost forgotten it.

Mr G, that sounds pretty good to me. At last - Eh !

Also a candidate for a bit of laying down harmony, say another 18 months in ideal conditions, perhaps. I thought the Arnaud de Lassalle Pouilly-Fumé 2013 was a step up from recent vintages. More like the 2 ten in terms of weight, but without the minerality at an earlier stage that lovers crave for.

Good price, since the Lassalle was RRP £14.99 at Waitrose. I bought on an early release offer. Will wait a while and see what happens, only have 2 or 3, bought them last summer.
The producers on the "chalky slopes" limestone marl and gravel will make the best in a wetter recent climate, big money though for the pungent/perfumed styles.

£12.95 is good, when the wine delivers.
