Well, you have to try the cheap ones in a heat wave ! Alc 12.5% abv, RS ? don't know.

Sugary and thin. On 1st opening at cellar temperature rather hollow and sweet. The nose does have some preservative on it, but not overly so. Does improve with open time in the refrigerator, as it add a little cut, but still very sugary and one dimensional. The finish is a lemonade spritz, which reminds me of Corona fizzy lemonade of the 60's and 70's

If you want this sort of thing on the patio, it is just about cheap enough I suppose. If you're looking for crafted or classic MSB - Best avoided.

Buy the Ned for a £1 more at Maj, superior in every way, a much much better MSB.

Thanks BA - Yeah, thanks for reminding me - I only really remember the good'uns or the dire wines these days.

The new label tries to convince you with a visual embossed seal in Red ink saying Wine from New Zealand and Reserve.

My Misses had a sip after the wine had been out of the fridge the next day for 20 minutes.

Her face says this MSB - is moderately diabolical when not heavily chilled. She was quite annoyed that I hadn't warned her. The Misses only takes a little of our star awarded MSB's, and is used to me proffering the lovely wines for her opinion - for her this was shocking ! I felt quite guilty afterwards ?

I may have been a tad generous & diplomatic about the 2011 Tacky Ridge.
