Slightly dilute and sweet. Good flavours though. Tomato leaf and bramble. Poor for the money. Even with the 25% off any six it's still only fair for the money.

Villa Maria Clifford Bay only got 88 this vintage with Bob so Awatere may be a no go until 2012.

Thanks for this report Mr. G.

I got the message also when combing through Bob's TN's. For some regions, '11 was a tricky sucker. Thanks for confirming my general, and deduced by default assumptions.

"The Wairau Valley has a warmer and wetter climate than that of the Awatere" For Wairau wines, one looks for vineyards located near Renwick, Blenhiem and Cloudy Bay at the mouth of the river. Hence the TN's for '11 and high score for CB'11 ...."back to form" says Bob and others.

THis actually deteriorated as it got colder. Just sweet and acidic tomato juice in the end.
