...is on offer at Tesco for ?4.25 per bottle...case of 6 only. The ?5 delivery fee knocks the price up to ?5.08 but that's still fantastic value for money.

Montana's reserve is one of richest and most pungent of Marlborough sauvs and is good value even at it's normal price of ?8.49.

I found it too rich when I first tried it but now rate it 2nd only to Villa Maria's Clifford Bay.

I think the offer is online only as I haven't seen the wine in any of my local Tesco stores

2006 is a disappointment.

The rich green, herbaceous flavours have been by replaced by full bodied citrus and grapefruit.

Sadly this seems to have become the norm for Marlborough.

Great acidity and it's nice enough but it's just not blackcurrant leaves-nettles and green peppers.

Anyway, i'm away for a few months so good luck for the exams, Mel, and I hope you all have a great summer.

I expect to find on my return that someone has unearthed a classic Sancerre for 50p a constant supply of 1999 Peter Lehmann semillon and a Thresher voucher that entitles the bearer to half price Saint Clair Vicar's Choice for life.

Don't let me down

I'll see what I can do. Where are you off to? I won't tell the burglars. Exam starts Tuesday. All my lists, and there are many, are ticked. Unfortunately, the odds are very bad indeed. Will see what happens.

We're off to Europe to visit various places.

The Loire not included.

Lucky, lucky you. Will save up some sauvignon notes for you. Mind you, tasting season has just finished and doesn't restart until Sept.
