This is properly dry, thankfully, unlike that horrendous sugary Farleigh Estate.

There's some noticeable phenols on the nose, maybe a hint of lemon grass. There is a fair amount of grapefruit, but without being overly pithy. Its rich and has some weight but lacks the flavour I love in the lighter examples. No blackcurrant or passion fruit.

Not really my thing.

Yeah, cheers Tribs.... I appreciate what you mean.

I would def. take some, if it were the '09 vintage though, I don't mind these when they are demi-medium bodied like C.Bay, as long as they have MSB flavours and aromas. I feel that at least at this price level, one would / could more than likely experience a drop of currant bud in the '09, and with '09s, more possibility of the tom leaf pungency that we seek.

Prestige parcels (a labelling & bottling job) I believe, has a proportion of CB left-overs in it. I shall have to try Black cottage at the same time - To find a replacement house MSB.

Enjoy your week-end.

Yes, Black Cottage remains the last hope for the lower end 2010 MSBs, unless the Goldwater or Vav reappear.

Fortunately I have enough to keep me going until the 2011 vintage.
