Reduced from £7.49. I think I got this in the previous round of offers at a slightly lower price, but can't find the receipt so not 100% sure.
Made by Catena, Argentina from their high altitude vineyard with some free-run juice added which seems slightly odd given it is in their budget range.
The nose is good. Fruity, ripe and typically South American. There is a fresh sweetness to this wine that is almost like unfermented grape juice. It reminds me a little of a kit wine (A good quality one, mind). It's not necessarily a bad thing and there is only a hint. Maybe its the free-run juice or could be the cool grown grapes. The fresh, ripe fruit is followed quickly by good cabernet structure. I like this, it's good. And moreish.
