The derv leads into a quite light but nicely acidic glass. Teeny hint of dark marmalade. I reckon that the Riesling purists will enjoy this, but it's not quite my thing.

Day 2 and very cold this has, to me, improved. The derv has retreated, the fruit has come forward and been joined by a little savouriness. Complicated and drinkable now. I am once again considering joining those that advocate decanting whites.
