Couldn't keep the secret one ' til Xmas. 100% Furmint and 14½% to help it along. Straight out of the rack at 14° it smelt like the cheap make-up dept. in Boots, and tasted much the same. Let's see what an hour or so au frigo does to it. I want to like this, and my feelings are that these plaster-smelling beasts need to be very cold. Have a Chenin mouthwash erstwhile.

Ah, I tried this on the tasting counter and thought it was wonderful. Such a fantastic mouthfeel. Certainly don't remember any make-up or plasters (acetone?)

Tribs, I recon you're closer. When my Misses is getting all gussied-up, Yep misconstrued Mr Ba, these new nail varnish removers have been sweetened up with floral and stone fruit chemicals and Aloe etcetera - dolled up acetone is not completely barking !

Old fashioned Sticking Plaster ! - No ....Ba, get some air in there, swirl it around, stir it up (ya know how to do that) it'll change

What does the lady around here say ?

I know that I have weird tastes. I hate all "curry" which includes ketchup, brown sauce, worcester, mustard, vinegar, mayo, chilli, many spices, most salad dresings, and ALL pickles. My take on some wines will not align with others, but my comments are honest ones. Few whites are at their best at 14°, and an hour int he frij has seen an improvement. Yep T some mouthfeel now, and the bandaid is retreating.

Has (after 2 hrs in fridge) improved to "drinkable!. Still hugely 'lastoplast. My second one will go into the Xmas charity raffle. Shame.

In J McQ's best winter whites < £8, and given the "best xmas wine" badge. Bah!...but the SeeSaw was right there next to it and so was the Clos d'Yvigne which got the "star buy".
