2009 Beaujolais Village LJ Combe Aux Jaques 2009

You can go and buy this '09 Louis Jadot BV.

Tastes like Village level as well. Yep, get yours in if you like Jolly Beau and you wont be dissapointed, Chill a bit as usual, or cool cellar temp

13% Alc this time on the 09. Riper fruit, better wine, the right *hue at the edges - *Just though.

Gamay nose a bit benign - but at least it is there this time.

You may not find a better ordinary Beau village at the food check-out at the moment for this money. The best small producer stuff is in France - they are not stupid.

Look out for Laithwaites or merchant small producer clearance on the 09 there might be a bargain there at the end of the Summer. This, because if it's well made wine, the '09 fruit is good for the essential base material.

'09 Fleurie should be good on this vintage.

For the Cru wines at thje moment - look in here:

There is 09 Morgon and 09 Che'nas at Majestic for £6.99 in pairs at the mo. Well - I have advised folks where to go. The '09 vintage is safe and fairly sound.

Summer quaffing:

Yeah - And also, if you are looking for a Rose now the sun is shining - Look into Mel's wines of the week.
