My experience of Chilean SB to date has been "magic lemonade". Light, cheerful, glug, glug. This is a different beast, would have put it in NZ. A tiny frizzy start (what the **** is that) gives way to a complex excellent glass.
Petrol, brambles, even some nuts. My M&S mixed doz at 25% off is yielding a few crackers. This is one of them.

Have you had any NZ sauvs that you prefer to this and if so which ones.

I have always found Leyda to be quite Marlborough like but with too much alcohol.

That's an oxymoron, which is only second to microxygenation.

Microoxygenation is perfectly and accurately descriptive. A teeny, tiny amount of oxygen is bubbled through the wines, giving it just enough to polymerise the tannins and so make the wine smooth beyond its years.

What I meant was is this wine ' a cracker ' at £5.62 or a cracker at any price.

Please don't make me buy one to find out.

Btw Happy St David's Day to you all

Happy Saint Dave's Day to you Mr G. Nice little folley you've got in the back garden, G.

On the Q. above, I think we may assume the former, the likes of the latter have not been seen since the Beatles - These wine marketing execs aren't completely stupid ya know

For Secano, I have their pinot noir in stock to try here. I suppose I ought to get to it, and see if it's all trendy bullsh*t or not. Regretably tho, like you I'm fussy.

Talk later

Re - Single domaine Rully 2005
Re - G H Martel NV 'Prestige' fromTesco and Sainsbury's which is surprising good for the money.

Oh go on, go on. Flog a few bunches of daffs on a street corner and try one of these.
