Reduced from £9.99 - to £4.99 excellent at this price, excellent wine - colour begining to age, slight start of orange tinge on rim. Lovely bitter sweet fruit with good body and long finish - wish i had got more than one - but will return asap at this price

Interesting....I had a dreadful bottle of this the other week so quality appears to be variable. On offer at the Co-op and Sainsbury's too.

sorry for your disappointment - that time - but prior to tasting it HAD good reviews in the press and a Silver medal appointed to it - but sometimes dud ones appear and does detract from any discount price

- but - within the space of 24 hours of my intial post, at least 24 bottles were sold - I got the penultimate 2 bottles - with a fellow customer alongside me grabbing the last -

All the 2004 I had of this (at half price of course) was good,
2005 is on the shelves now on offer, I've bought some but not tried it yet

I used to consider Berberana as one of those 'brands' worth buying regardless. Their Dragon Tempranillo was an excellent budget red, on par with CyT's Diablo Cab for QPR.

I havent tasted anything recent though.

Yeah, very popular on the pavements in the villages inland from the costa in Spain.... a few years back. The've changed the shape of the bottle.

Find spare table, order squid rings in batter with fry's and a some chopped onion and peppers in a vinegary side bowl, get a tall glass and put 3 cubes of ice in the bottom, then plosh in Carta da Plata bianco.

Not bad in the sun with the squid well peppered.......£3.22 per bot is cheap. I think the white on the rocks is better than Carta Plata red.

GK, Please .....Try one from store, before you buy a six pack, or buy for a barbequeue summer, and plosh as directed.

BTW - Carta da Plata has been around in Spain for yonks.
