Made by Springfield Estate.

Cape like asparagus with a touch of Wairau like capsicum on the finish. Golden colour and very mellow.

I wonder if the SE Special Cuvee has mellowed too as that is more my thing. This is now a beautifully balanced wine. I just wish I loved the vegetal flavour.

I tried this back in March and was suitably impressed

This latest one bought in T's double disco has some stewed cabbage in the aroma and flavour, though. I presume this the vegetal / asparagus element. I'm not a fan of the development.

I might try again when the first of the '11 vintage appears. I quite liked it when it was young.
