Astrolabe have a huge reputation and this won a silver medal somewhere. Odd that there is no mention of it on their website.

Anyway, i've ordered one along with some inexpensive Loire sb's. The 2008 Champteloup got a star off Mel and the Bourgeois La Grille has always been a fav in the past. To make up the order i've got 6 bottles of my fav sub £6 rose the Chat En Oeuf grenache syrah which is £4.74 online.

Tis lovely stuff. I just hope the 07 is still holding up nicely. Rose seems to turn into cooking sherry quite quickly once it starts to fade.

Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc
The World's Best Sauvignon Blanc as chosen by the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2008, intense and full-flavoured, packed with delicious ripe warmer fruits this has, for several years been New Zealand's best!
This blurb from nz is for the one without the "shearwater" bit and I see Harrod's have that at £15. There is also an Astrolabe Discovery SB. all too confusing for me. The silver award is from "Decanter" mag.
