The blend can change dramatically from year to year. This 2007 is 33% Chardonnay, 31% Sauvignon Blanc, 26% Weisser Riesling, 6% Pinot Blanc, 2% Chenin Blanc and 2% Semillon.

The nose is very floral and the palate backs this up with Chardonnay and then Riesling to the fore, with a long zesty finish.

Quite pleasant at first but I found myself over chilling it to get a more refreshing Riesling/green only flavour. A bargain at Majestic’s price but this is most definitely a summer aperitif wine rather than a serious food wine, which is what the makers are attempting to achieve so fair enough. Well chilled it should however make a good accompaniment to Asian foods.

This outfit out-blends the rest of the world, at least the ones that disclose it. I found their Two Rivers bad enough to go down the sink and needed to wash my mouth out. This is pleasant indeed (just got two more) and it is hard to define, but yeah I think it needs to be well cooled. I look forward to others taste buds views.
