It's not often I stumble across a wine as enjoyable as my favourite of that particular grape but at a much cheaper price.

Although this is paler and crisper than you'd expect for the usually golden, rich, fat gewuztraminer it still has all the classic flavours of lychee and rose oil.

No hint of riesling or muscat ( not listed on the label , but did show up on a Janice Robinson tasting note )

Price varies between ?3.99 and ?4.99 so i've listed it at the halfway point.

No more ?7 Alsace gewurz for me !

Thanks G, I have enjoyed the Pheasant Gully Shiraz on offer in the past, I will be interested to see if the gewurzt can tempt me away from my current favourite-
Arthur Metz, Alsace, Gewurztraminer '04, @ Aldi ?4.99

I have yet to find one that tops this for under a fiver!
