The best thing about J P Chenet wines is usually the quirky bottles they come in.

But they've recently released a reserve chardonnay and a posh sauvignon to improve their image.

This is excellant for Touraine. Dry, crisp and fresh with pleasant tropical fruit flavours.

The only problem though is that it's 6 quid a bottle and that's Montana territory and Montana is just well.....better !

Lovely wine...shame about the price.

very interesting. haven't seen this one. will try and get hold of a bottle. however, as you say, montana is of a v good standard and is often reduced and so Chenet needs to be astonishingly good to compare.
