?5.99..Thresher

Very unusual sauvignon from Chile's Casablanca Valley. If it had been served to me as a Pouilly Fume at a restaurant I would have thought it was not only spot on but an exceptionally good one.

Flavours of rich yet slightly bitter lemon and minerals with a hint of pepper.

Ok the pepper is not typical Loire but that apart it really could pass for a great Pouilly Fume.

Absurd value for money.

This is one of my "automatic" regulars (though not at full price of course). Solid, consistent and incroiable value. Fill your boots (or glasses if you prefer).

I prefer the Errazuriz Tapihue Block SB, a touch off-dry, clean, some apple & elderflower, very good. Picked up a few reduced price bottles recently.

I didn't even realise for some time that they were different. I was getting one from W/rose and t'other from Tesco. The labels are so similar. Will now think harder and see which I prefer.
