Montana Reserve Marlborough 'Vintage Selection' Riesling, 2003.
The store? Home Bargains (long story) at £3.99 I bought two bottles of the Montana Riesling, thinking it will either be past-it and dreadful or a nicely aged, budget Riesling. I will put this wine away and open it in ten years.
GK, Iknow you relish a bargain, and this one hits the spot. Riesling can be wonderful, and is very under rated by the general public. Jancise Robinson has been advising folks to try these NW Riesling wines, but no one seems to listen....which is damn good for those who have taste
I have one bottle of Amisfield central Otago dry Riesling to try, it came back on a plane from a friend. Does anyone know Amisfield, is it a boutique NZ wine maker ?
Happy New Year to you.
