Sorry to do this to your children's stockings, but am just working on the new Waitrose offers and they have 99 wines on offer during the rest of Nov and early Dec.

Perhaps we can get our tasting bottle from there. Should have them up straight after breakfast.

My favourite, which I do more often than is healthy, is a pinch of salt during cooking, so the flavour is embedded, with soft brown sugar (not muscovado, but the beige one) and about a tablespoon of double cream. The sugar is folded in a little and the cream sits on top to be included a bit at a time.

So glad I'm now on a diet in an attempt to be fabulous by christmas/new year.

I make my porridge with milk, not tried cream. Will give it a go.

You should do what my wife does when she thinks about starting a diet. Nothing.

a woman after my own heart....

I love food, I love wine.

Very little chance of me cutting back on these just for the sake of keeping trim. Not like I do either in excess (altho having a pub downstairs selling home made pork crackling is a massive temptation to beat off !!)

anyway, could be hit by a bus tomorrow.... (note to self, don'tt go running in front of buses just to justify eating food you enjoy)

A few yrs ago having stopped smoking, I put on a load of weight. Went on a diet for 18 months and lost 14kg and 3" off the waist acheiving a BMI 0f 24%. I looked good, but felt awful; every little knock felt like I'd broken something, and I felt kinda weedy withit.
Have let some of it drift back on slowly as I really was not enjoying life.

The waitrose offers have been on the site, with notes since just after breakfast. I make it with milk but add the cream.
