Is that the '64 vintage? Moi, I'm back from trying to get the (other) club's dealing m/c to work. It's from Scandiweigmark and insists upon a particular comport. Popped into Threshers but Evans the wine having an evening off. Planning for the influx of tens of thousands of 6-fingered Peterbro' supporters for the try-to-kick-the-ball-in-the-right-direction charade. La Grille SB au moment improving my poker skills.

We (that would be I) always tape HIGNFY on Saturday because it's the extended one and so funnier.

How was Ross. Will flip through with breakfast.

New desk arriving at 8.30. You cannot imagine the joy of organising pens, staples, cartridges, but also which drawers to use for what. The perfect Saturday!

In answer to the calls of "Mel, you need to get out" I will be going out for supper with friends this evening. Also they're good cooks and winos, so worth taking something nice.

Taxi home.

Also back to Chelt Lit Fest for Poetry Challenge.

A happy weekend.

Crikey Mel,
You're up at sparrow farts.

Woss was typicaly obnoxious, especially with the girly judge from Strictly, who has a laugh like an "amplified WEM reverb device".... embarassing !

Jack Dee was good fun.

Enjoy your new desk - I need management in my office - my Misses is appalled by the state of the place !

Enjoy your week-end folks.

Mel's gotta a brand new desk, have a peek at modern logistics for organisation and business management skills  ...

My filing system is brilliant too, I know precisely where everything is...it's on the floor. So far, so good. Peterboro equalised in the last minute against our clodhoppers, and both Hamilton and Button near the back of the grid. I forsee a great GP tomorrow.

Just been out to supper. We were inundated by good claret (hard to imagine) but there were a lot of white wine drinkers and we had two good clarets and a Musar, then the Baron de Ley 7 vinas, which tasted beautiful after all that stalk. Between three red drinkers.

Then Suduiraut for pudding. Anyway, the point of the story (I know, stretching it a bit to call it a story) but one of our number was telling a tale of being asked to view a neighbour's new cellar, that he'd dug himself and which had too many locks for comfort.

I happen to know the neighbour and would have also fallen for the "come and see my cellar" line, but the general consensus was that single women shouldn't do that sort of thing.

Bacchus, is yours the sort of cellar that girls shouldn't visit? Are there more locks than is seemly and, is all the wine white?

Night. No fives tomorrow, I promise.

No locks at all on the cellar, but they are installing new lock gates in the harbour. I live on an "island" and this w/e have to do a loop of 2 miles in order to get 440 yds in 'tother direction.

Just one red left after the purge. '05 Glen Carlou Syrah. Cellar is a bit "blokey" I'm afraid but it does have a nice warm beige carpet. Melon boxes full of cables and computer bits, plus 5 or 6 computers going back to the 80's. Three cannibalised m/cs that I shall turn into one decent one sometime. Tools, paint, anti-freeze etc. and car pics on the walls. Oh! and a failed pepper and failed tom plant under the glazed coal-hole. Telephone extention laid in and a MFI desk. There are 2 bottles of bubbly that a girly might like though...and a nice warm carpet...(in summer, no heating).
