Palest pink. Dull but not unpleasant. Just shows that Pinot rose needs the limestone soils of Sancerre to be really worth the bother and the expense.

The Macon (gamay) Rose at M&S is much better for just a 100p more

Hi, I have enjoyed the better Anjou Rose from much further down river, although those from the Nantes area are awfully thin. I had always put fine Anjou rose, which matures very well if from a good producer down to Cabernet Franc.
I have to say, I've never had Sancerre rouge or rose, but enjoy the cheaper Chinon rouge which is Cab Franc much further down river. The Rose from the Puylubier area down south, (past Cahors I think) are wonderful but not stocked by anyone I know in England. Mel will know these, they are probably in Hachette.

Rose supping weather lasted about a week in July :( this year and last year.
