Half term now, so you should be allowed a rewarding drop this week-end, The whole of October is a particularly difficult month for your campaign, I'd say picking May next year could be an easier task, keeping busy with projects outside in the lighter evenings would help.

I miss my cider most. I had got into Thatcher's Gold. A real cider makers commercial ( not real ) cider. 4.8% so light and easy to drink. Sweet but not sickly sweet like Bulmers which looks and tastes like it was made by Smarties for Mcdonalds to be sold as McCider. Thatchers tastes more of honeyed apple. Gorgeous !

Real cider drinkers would no doubt mock.

I haven't missed wine but I'm sure that JE 2013 will be good. I ended up buying 12 bottles at £9.95. I will find out on Nov 1st.

Brilliant Mr G, I'd assumed, just as Shezza had concluded; that because you were posting advice and TN references, that you had enjoyed the odd glass of nectar. I know you've been reducing your intake, but you hadn't said how hard it was, and also, you'd resolved your computer software problems, which can be pretty stressful at the best of times.

My last tipple was the 2013 vintage of Arnaud Lassalle PF from Waitrose. The first glass was tasteless but the 2nd was all flint. Very intense. Too much for me. I think the acorn note that I sometimes get on Sancerre/PF comes from a balance of gooseberry like fruit and flint.

All gooseberry and it's just dry white wine. All flint and it's an acquired taste which some may love but not me.

This was more Chablis than Sancerre
