I see in Sains. a bottle labelled 'A Bottle of White' at £4.99

No mention anywhere of what grapes are in it nor even the country whence it comes.

Nice

Yeah - Absurd.

The rows and rows of everything priced at £n.99 go on and on Ad Nauseum ! Go to a Cash & Carry and the dexion stacking coupled with a tacky dayglow orange price flash is bilious :qofyuk: .

Hope the floods are not making a mess of Bristol, here the Thames is washing over the tow path, where the banks are not build up and reinforced, every crook and cranny is full. Major concern now for those near the edge of the flood plain.

There is a named wine in the Co-OP sales for £3.00 per bottle at the mo, a large stock of Italian red named S something. At least it was not priced at £2.nn ! I think I may have seen a tiny quantity of a clearance white for £1.nn in there ?

There are half bottles of Sauterne in the clearance - no idea of the quality, nor price.

Chateau Roumieu by any chance Dunc?
If so I'd recommend you go wild in the aisles
Normally £12.99, currently £8.99 in my co-op
I picked up some bin end bottles in another store before Christmas for £6.50
I've had a couple and found them very enjoyable

Shez, I will check. Odd, I just don't recall that chateau on the label, normally I'm up-to-speed on the detail.

Thanks for the advice.

I've just looked up 375ml bottles of Ch. Roumieu or aka Roumieu-Lacoste - the label is different from the one's I saw. I'll check again.

Still have dry feet thanks to the one good thing that the council has done in the last 15 yrs. Massive storm drain taking water directly to the Bristol Channel rather than via the river.
