The second Bettane + Desseauve Wine Experience London will take place at the Saatchi Gallery, Chelsea on 25th and 26th of October 2013. This exclusive event is aimed at both professional and consumer wine lovers and created by two well known and respected wine critics, Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve.

“Wine Experience is a festival of great wines in the same way as the great music or cinema festivals,” explains Thierry Desseauve. “And all of the producers exhibiting are selected on the quality of their production. With our team of tasters, we taste tens of thousands of different wines every year from all over the world with the aim of presenting them to the public”.

Michel Bettane adds, “We are continuing to organise high level master classes devoted either to great winemakers or built around a theme encompassing exceptional wines. We also think that great wines deserve to be presented in an exceptional place: the Saatchi Gallery is a magical place, just like the Louvre where we have been organising our French wine event for the past 8 years.”

Organised in partnership with Ubifrance, with the support of the French Ministry of Foreign Trade, this second show once more demonstrates its international dimension with a range of top producers from a variety of countries. More than 60 producers including Piper Heidsieck, Taittinger, Ruinart, Château Giscours, Château Hostens Picant, Domaine des Perdrix, Cheval des Andes, Bruno Giacosa, Masciarelli, Dominio de Pingus – to name but a few - will present their wines to the public.

Wine Experience London in partnership with The World of Fine Wine and The Drinks Business will also offer many other exceptional experiences to visitors:
- Wine Premiere : a presentation of 12 wines and innovative projects from all around the world which will allow visitors to select what they think are the most convincing creations and to compare their choices with those of the panel of international experts awarding the prizes. The visitors whose selections are the closest those of the panel will receive a prize.
- Chardonnay Masters by The Drinks Business : a presentation of the winners from this new competition dedicated to wines made from Chardonnay from all around the world awarded in the categories of style and price range. The judges’ panel is chosen from Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers. Visitors will be able to discover the medal winning wines, as well as the Chardonnay Masters, the ultimate reward for exceptional wines made from this grape variety
- Master Classes: exceptional tastings (Taittinger, Ruinart..) led by Michel Bettane, Thierry Desseauve and other well-known international experts.

Finally, Wine Experience London will host the inauguration of The Grape Foundation, the biggest charity in the wine world aimed at helping underprivileged children. Many well known people in the wine industry and producers have already confirmed their support for this initiative and a real international network is now developing. An auction will take place on the 25th of October at 5:30 pm and Bettane + Desseauve is particularly proud to be giving its support to this activity.
