Tried 4 times today to buy a dozen. Their rediculous site beat me off every time. I must have spent an hour to no avail. Filters don't work, everything traumatically slow and clunky.
Their old site was great. This one is worse that useless.

P.S.

My store has reverted to scorching temperatures in the wine dept.
It used to be just as bad but after loads of whinges from staff and customers plus help from their chappy on this site, they put it right. Back to sauna now. The wines must suffer terribly.

Yeah, I capitalised on the back of an Ocado order this morning.

Ba, you may know this:

The Waitrose / Ocado website is a multi platform animal. Page refresh is live, so when a viewer wants to examine the wine summary with all offers up, the page moves on the screen. It is a notchy beast. With 25 meg BT infinity (40 meg at the front door on oxidised copper) and a fast computer, not very friendly at all, as the page re-loads, and jumps up every 3 seconds.

The Website is best viewed on Firefox, on MS Explorer 8, the site is pretty unsatisfactory.

I have reported the problem a while back, however, until MS actually do some development work on their Web browser, you will find all sorts of problems in page loading on many sites now.

This is a wine forum, go over to many AV and browser forums, and MS get a real b*ll*cking, particularly from fast BB and fast processor users.

Confirmed. Stopped by this morning

Picked up a couple of the Triade white blends that Ba recommended
A Paolo Leo salice Salentino
These will probably go into a mixed case a friend has asked me to put together for them

Interestingly Musar magnum goes for a pound cheaper than 2x single bottles. I thought it was often the other way round in general with Mags tending to be a little more expensive than 2 bottles ?

For a good summer glugger, a cheaper midweek option to Gavi, the Alasia Cortese at only £4.27 is another Italian worth trying.

Mr B,

After speaking to my system manager, I then phoned up Ocado 0845 656 1234 and checked which browser they use on their own system. You couldn't use the windows browser if you worked in customer services ! Without tearing your hair out.
Also - You may have to phone up Ocado, when their online shopping % discount vouchers do not work properly when editing an order that has already been placed and when wine discounts may have expired between ordering and delivery.

Don't go to MS IE10 - Is the latest advice fom my system guy, Simon.

Some AV programmes check each page for a virus. On a fast machines, the page flashes-on-and off several times between the links that you may have open. The whole point of a seamless transition between many windows open on your browser is being broken down - Spoilt. The web experience is pretty naff these days.

Sad - Sorry for this. Back to wine to cheer us up.

Well...ta...the site works fine with FF.
Damn thing tried to take over the world, and shoved a load of merde onto my m/c. Was ready for it though and wiped out all the 'helpers', toolbars and setting changes toot-bloody-sweet.
