Is it my imagination or is the male judge a condescending sneery twaf. All judges have to be critical to be of any constructive use to the contestant but even the most famously critical stop short of sounding like a jealous older sibling trying to put a younger sibling off trying with negative one sentance put downs.

This guy seems a bit creepy.

It’s the Simon Cowell effect, everyone loves a bad guy. The audience demands it, the Producers are happy to oblige if it lifts viewing figures.

I liked the look of those savoury thin-pastry thingys from last night, only caught a bit of the show, during the footy half-time.

No, I like him. He comes over as knowledgeable generally but I agree that he was a bit unnecessarily hard on the pretty little law student from Manchester last night, just before the bloodbath.

I think the blond woman who dropped her chocolate fondants is the one to watch, or the cut finger boy. Actually, Ryan's quite good when he's good and the older gentleman seems to be doing very well.
