Wot - Jazz and beer fest on Kings Meadow ?

or

Courage Director's bitter on the Basingstoke road, south of Reading - just past John Majdeski's stadium ?

That majdeski bloke (spelling) has wrecked our Royal Mail sorting office - RM value his dosh for the land, more than our local, and north of the river custom ! - It stinks - the whole place has been dormant since the crash - Promises like Pie Crusts. OK - Railtrack are developing the station, fortunately the facade is grade 11 listed

000's of p****d off folks not far from here - count me in . Crumpy Dunc.

Fosters IXL have killed Thames valley brewing - Vote with your wallet.

The latter Mr D. Landmark on the M4. Courage grabbed our own Georges Brewery.

South of the River and well west of here, young man. I'll be half way to Wallingford after the big bang - before the fall out gets anywhere close - mind you I will have to pass the speed cameras at twice the limit. Highway Warp 2.

I'm plenty Warm enough already thank you. Climbing French bean sticks going up tonight, Runners already going skywards.

Ba - You have a bottle of anti anadin - dont you ? Fancy drinking the whole bottle at once ?

Did ya see Captain Kirk on Have I Got News

Ha ha - During the heatwave the anti-cyclone (high) has been producing winds that are anything but typically Sowesterly prevailing !

Ba, have you tried this red ? Or is it going to a Bridge colleague.

Have been thinking about trying a red again (it's been a loooong time) and this seemed to fit the bill. Have popped it downstairs at 18° until the voices tell me.
Has increased my stocks by 50%.

Two glasses day one and another on day two.
First red that I've had more than a sip / sniff of since an excellent Morgon some years ago
Must be tidy.

Opened another bottle Thursday evening, two glasses left the rest for Friday night.

Once again I woke up on Saturday morning in a real mess like having 2 or 3 bottles !!!

Last time I put it down to lack of water etc but this is 100% the wine.
It must be packed with additives or rocket fuel ?? any ideas ??

That's weird. Hay-fever? Migraine? Might be an unusual yeast.

That's a rat bag for sure, and I think you may want toi return it for a premium !

Bent One Night ! But that is clay, and when meandering off topic, gets you heavy boots, and slows you down some.

It's gotta be an additive that messes up 'your' system - You won't find out which one, and it's ability to mess you up some, probably applies to a minority of folks.

I like a tannic structure to a wine - but me Misses gets a migraine from firm styles of Margaux  We really discovered this when she bought me a bottle of Malescot-St-Exupe'ry '78 on our tenth wedding aniversary - and I said, you ought to have a whole glass of this, it's lovely - and then ....Disaster struck about 90 minutes later. Best laid plans -Eh !

It is a great pity

I had this over last weekend, its good for the price, very dry in the finish, a touch grainy, perhaps a spell of oak needed to soften things up and calm those industrious tannins but you get what you pay for.

I had a similar Tempranillo house red recently (being £10 on license it must've been less than £3 wholesale) and I immediately got a rash over my face and neck + mild asthma.

My conclusion was allergy to cheap wine.
Guessing it's high sulphur levels. Luckily I didn't drink enough to get a hangover.

Yep, I would hazard a guess at sulphites responsible on that occasion. Potassium sulphate and possibly natural sulphur, where the cost cutting producer may have resorted to agro chemicals ! We don't know ?

Algerian reds were once used 30-40 years ago to bulk up very very cheap french wines. The taste was pretty dire, so the sulphur did not get to you 1st !

Being a viognier lover - you're not too likely to get aclimatised to excessive amounts of the stuff - Handy
