Today found 2 vineyards within 'ride' distance. Parva at Tintern on the foreign side of the Severn estuary and St. Augustine's between the 2 bridges on the power station side.

Also visited a well-recommended farm shop just off the Wye. All local / organic produce. Single scotch egg £2.85 !! and all else pro rata.

Pro Rata is an ancient grape indigenous to Italy...

My grapes have done quite poorly this year, very small. I harvested what I could last week and squeezed all the juice out, then we drank the lot, fresh and chilled, heaven.
