This wine is I am sure the same as the Saint Clair basic. Bacchus noticed that the bottles were identical and i've just noticed that the alcohol level is the same too. SC has always been 13% as has the Estate Reserve but this vintage for the first time the alcohol on both is up to 13.5% and the price of both wines as ever is the same. £11.49 this year as opposed to the usual £10.99. I know all this falls short of proof positive but it's close enough for me.

The reason for this waffle is that MW have no delivery fee unlike Slurp and WineDirect and they often cut the price of the ER to £8.99 for 2 so, if i'm right, Tribs and I and anyone who wants to join us can now buy the SC for less.

Lovely !

£8.99 now

MW offers have just changed.

The Ned is £5.99 and Withering Hills £6.99....don't be misled by cheapness.

Err...no.

Changed at 3pm today. SC was £11.99 yesterday. Lindauer was £8.99 for two, that is now down to £7.99.

They had boring old Spanish and South African wines on offer. Yesterday the website warned customers that those offers would end at 3pm on 1st Nov and they did.

20% off all Kiwi wines when you buy any two or more.

I will buy 12. I wanted the 2010 Goldwater for £5.99 as the bulk buy but they sold out on Friday so will replace with Southbank Estate 2010 for £4.99 and hope to gawd it's better than the sherbetty sweet 09

I had no idea. The "date" for the offers is tomorrow. They are now up on the Search.

However, Majestic now have nearly 750 wine "offers" which means that uploading them takes quite a while and I'm not prepared to list all 750 grape varieties as that takes 750 thoughts of which perhaps a dozen need to be looked up. It's just too many for one person to process.

Over the next week I'll put up some tasting note links.

Am off up to town on Wed to get a couple of initials added to my name. Ba, don't even start. S and L not even funny.

Remember...
Ma'am rhymes with "ham" NOT with "Fahhhhm".

All I could come up with was "Bécha", as you can be a little saucey...

Yes, I can't think why anyone would order 5 rose out of 12 bottles of wine

Mel had said that she was having more intials and warned me off of S&L making S[mel]l. So i tried Bécha giving Bécha[mel] and making her a little saucy
