Rubbish. Absolute rubbish.

I go through the whole order process, and after I have confirmed my card validation thing, there is a problem and half of the wines in my basket are all suddenly out of stock.

Ok tribs, we shall have to aim some shells across the bows of Waitrose. We will do it from here if Mel is happy to take the flack.

Yep - Unless they supply those wines to you from store stock at the discounted price and pretty doulbe quick.

Is there an email link to customer services ? - Stick it up here, and we will fire off a salvo.

You're right, although I hadn't realised it last night. Unfortunately, there is no chance of me getting to my (not so) local store until next week. It is near the office but that is over half an hour from home which is where I am now. We are moving house on Friday and there is just too much to do.

The only hope is that Mr/Mrs Cust Services can help me out with something when they get around to replying. I'm not holding out too much hope though. At least I have saved quite a bit of dosh. For now

Yes, but they did so anyway . It was Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay 2008. Mrs Tribs was not as impressed as I was though and it seemed better when tried in store. Would have liked a few more bottles at the current price all the same.

I have received an apology and nothing more. As expected.

There is so much crap to do with the move I'm beyond caring. As said I've saved some dosh. I have just gone through all the wine I have got and there is plenty to keep me going for some time. There was the odd one I'd forgotten about too. A few nice surprises. I need to keep on top of my inventory.

Ha ha, :) Just How many is "that many" :) Sorry Shez, I have not done my inventory on CT.

I ought to list on excel, but I run through inventory in my mind, evey time I go to my store. I've nearly spoilt a meal on more than one occasion with my indecision of what to pick, and then I've decided to get to a box that is two levels down or ina low area where I have to move stuff !

Mr dear Misses calls out - Have you decided yet ? Come on ! Yeah, at least 3 times on an important night.

Oh dear, oh dear - very sad

Guys,

Have you ever considered what you would do with all your wine if you suddenly found yourself in the position where you could no longer drink it?

The obvious one would be sudden death, or simply developing an illness that means you can never drink alcohol again. It happens.

This thought occurred to me some time ago, I have considerably reduced the number of bottles I store now. As my wife doesnt drink red it would all end up being given away

or even if your house caught fire....
Very good point tho GK, tho it could used as a similar arguement for pensions etc :)

I have around 80 bottles at home.
Haven't really ever exceeded much more than that

Auction and ebay as well,

My dear friends will help out to achieve a decent disposal price for my wife.

I ought / must be more modest with my medium term 1ers though

Good point GK

Dunc,

I know the feeling about wine selection !!
Dinner party this weekend and started selecting bottles on Monday.

So far got a Borie 83, Fleur Peyrabon 05, CDP 1995, Bregeot 09,Beaumont 75, Brane 81.
Will change my mind tonight as it will be the last chance to bring something else up from the cellar to settle ready for Saturday.

Was going to try a Noel Verset 99 but decided it was too young.

Richard
